About Lorex Cameras

Lorex cameras offer features that are critical to having real, reliable security footage in today’s world.

  • Local NVR ensures footage is saved locally, 24/7/365, that can also be accessed remotely through the Lorex App on Android and Apple Devices
  • Red Handed Security recommends, and only quotes (without specific request) 4K or 4K+ cameras, with audio, night vision, and at least IP65 outdoor rating
  • CLICK HERE FOR AN EXAMPLE DIFFERENCE OF DIFFERENT VIDEO QUALITIES
  • Lorex cameras are NOT the cheapest out there – they are the best for the price!
  • Lorex cameras using POE cannot be jammed with a Wi-Fi jammer (popular tool for thieves, and only $400 online to anybody who wants to buy one)
  • Lorex camera systems can be easily paired with a UPS to allow your camera system to stay powered up and recording for more than an hour, EVEN IF THE POWER GOES OUT
  • Lorex makes it easy to save footage from your NVR to your phone, or a flash drive, and then share it with someone; like your little sister that you caught picking her nose, or the Police who would like the video footage of that person trying to break into your car at night

Our top picks from Lorex:

The P25 PTZ 4K Camera – “The Bowling Ball Camera”

This camera is absolutely no joke. Weighing in at ~13 pounds, and standing about 17″ tall, this camera is absolutely serious. We have nicknamed it the “Bowling Ball Camera” for a few good reasons. This camera has optical zoom from 4x to 25x, and does Pan-Tilt-Zoom through the app, and can automatically detect movement and follow the person/vehicle.

We even tested this camera out in the pitch dark, and zoomed in, it can easily read the front license plate on my car, with the headlights on, 180 feet away.

The main downside to this camera is just it’s physical size and price. At about $1,200 each, this camera is absolutely no joke, but not needed for everyone at that price.

The H30 4K+ Bullet Camera

The H30 is a great camera for medium-duty applications. At a much lower price around $200 each, they’re great for catching things that you don’t NEED the Bowling Ball Camera for. 4K Cameras are 8 MP images – this camera is 12 MP, or 4K+. With the ability to speak through the camera or even have pre-recorded messages, along with Smart Deterrence and lights that change colors – a potential thief might be scared away before they do any real damage.

We actually had a customer recently who was away from home and on vacation in Florida – I called him and asked him to check if the camera needed to point up/down, left/right. (This camera was a late addition to his system) He hit the button on his app from Florida, and he and I adjusted the camera while talking back and forth through the camera. What a convenient feature!

The A10 Dome Camera

The A10 is an awesome little camera for capturing closer movement like at an entry door. Unfortunately, the A10 camera is only available for purchase for Lorex Partners, so we can’t give you a link to it.

These cameras record 4K, with listen-in audio, and smart motion detection. With great night vision, a vandal-proof cover, and IP67 rating, they are built to handle outdoor conditions, 24/7/365. And at roughly $120 per camera, they’re not too expensive either. Available in both black and white – can be mounted under an overhang/ceiling or onto a wall.

The H20 Dual-Lens Camera

The H20 is an excellent choice for inside of a store. This camera has dual-lens splicing technology. Built to also handle the outdoors, this camera catches a 180 degree view in one image, in 4K quality. You can also talk through this camera, and hear the responses. At roughly $250 each, this camera is also mildly priced and provides the peace of mind and security that hard-wired 24/7/365 recording provides.

The 4K+ Fusion NVR

This NVR packs a pretty compact punch. It’s built to handle 8 POE wired cameras, and also up to 8 Wi-Fi cameras. All in 4K or 4K+ resolution. Works with Alexa and Google Assistant. At roughly $500 – the price isn’t bad either.

Comes with a default capacity of 2 TB – but can be easily upgraded to a 16 TB hard drive for roughly $600 to save WEEKS of footage.

Some Other Accessories…

Part of partnering with Red Handed Security means we’re not just going to install your cameras or provide you with Lorex cameras. From personal experience, we have seen the heartache that comes when something happens in an area “that just didn’t have a camera”. (Thieves plan this) We also spend the time to talk about the plan for each and every camera and cable with you before you purchase from us. We figure out where to mount each camera, what the camera will see, and how we plan to run every cable.

Another part of the camera systems that increases reliability is a UPS- a battery backup system. These devices can be a real lifesaver when the power goes out. While you won’t have internet access when the power goes out at your business or home, your cameras can stay powered up and recording for a long time. There are various sized UPS available – we can help you pick one based on your pricing and longevity needs.

Another popular accessory/feature is RHS providing Wi-Fi routers, and bridges if needed. The back of Lorex NVR’s does NOT connect over Wi-Fi to the internet, it connects through ethernet. (Much faster and more reliable) If you have separate buildings, a Wi-Fi bridge can be used to convert Wi-Fi signal into an ethernet cable for your NVR to access the internet.

If you choose to use Lorex Wi-Fi cameras instead of Power-Over-Ethernet (POE), RHS is capable of providing a Wi-Fi router dedicated solely to the camera system, and even making the Wi-Fi router “hidden” from public access after the cameras are connected to it.

We can even bring our Demo System to your location, power it up and show you exactly what all of the hardware, cables, and image quality looks like on our most popular cameras!
